IC CHARACTERISTICS:
•PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Nadia is a curvy young woman with dark brown hair, moss-green eyes and an aristocratic way of carrying herself. She has a small scar on her forehead, and most notably is missing her left arm at the elbow. She generally takes pains not to draw too much attention to this, but it's pretty hard to miss when dealing with her in person.
•DEMEANOR: Nadia is civil, polite and generally well-bred. She's witty and good with word play when she wants to be, but generally only plays those kinds of games when she thinks she has to. She can come off as cool, sometimes even cold, and tends to keep people at arms' length.
•ABILITIES: Nadia is a mage, which means she can do magic. Here is a good overview of the skill trees mages have. Nadia is mostly invested in the Frost and Storm trees, with a bit of Spirit (basically she has Barrier and Dispel). Her specialization is Knight Enchanter here.
In addition to her magic, Nadia is a skilled diplomat and negotiator, as well as a charismatic leader. She's brokered treaties that ended wars, recruited thousands to her cause and led armies to battle. She's particularly well-educated in the geo-politics of her world, as well as magical theory which she has studied for most of her life, and the Andrastian religion.
•MEDICAL INFORMATION: Aside from the aforementioned missing arm, Nadia is a pretty healthy woman in her late-twenties.
•OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: Not much is likely to offend her, except perhaps extreme prejudice against magic, misogyny, or direct threats to the people she cares about.
IC PERMISSIONS:
•MENTAL/MIMICRY: Nadia has some strong mental resistances when it comes to mind invasion, so let me know if you'd like to do something like this so we can determine if it would be possible.
•VIOLENCE: Nadia is a good fighter who is used to defending herself with and without magic. I'm happy to thread out fight scenes but depending on whether your character has powers it might be a good idea to talk it out as we do so!
•MAGIC: If there's something specific you'd like your character to do with Nadia, contact me so we can determine if it would be possible, as she has some pretty strong mental resistances and knows how to counter most overt magical attacks.
•DEBATE: Nadia can be pretty opinionated and is happy to debate issues she feels she knows a lot about!
•HUGGING/KISSING/PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Nadia isn't terribly affectionate, but you're welcome to do this sort of thing. How she reacts will depend on how close the CR is.
•SHIPS: Nadia is a married woman and very much in love with her husband so ships are probably not going to happen. That said, feel free to flirt with her, develop a crush, whatever!
•OTHER / NOTES: Nadia comes from a medieval fantasy world and has some slightly different ideas about how the world works from most modern people - while more progressive in some ways than the actual historical European counterpart, especially when it comes to gender and sexuality, there are still a lot of strict class and racial lines in Thedas and Nadia is very much a part of that context, so she may say things that would offend the sensibilities of a more modern character. There is also a lot of violence in Thedas, and if I bring up something like that in a thread, I will put trigger warnings on it.
In general, if you need to opt-out of tagging me for any reason, that's totally fine. Just let me know and I'll make a note not to tag you, no explanation required.
NOTE about Nadia's disability: I am aware that there are characters who could theoretically regrow Nadia's arm. For purposes of character development, I do not want to have this happen, and I ask that characters refrain from mentioning this possibility to her ICly. This is simply a case of the character wanting something that the mun doesn't and the only way I can think of to avoid a situation where my character development gets ruined is to try and keep her from learning about the possibility.
